SIX!! WOW!! We've had a busy, stressful, happy six years with our little girl. She hasn't been simple since the day we found out we were pregnant. She took many, many, many hours to make her way into this world and I instantly found out what it was like to worry about someone more than you ever thought you could. Jordyn was in the nursery from the get go because of all the fluid on her lungs and two heart murmurs. Sitting there and watching the numbers on the oxygen reading is more than any new mom should have to go through. The months and years to come didn't get easier..seriously..her tear ducts couldn't even be normal! We had to take her in for surgery at the age of one. We were put through test after test at Mary Bridge hospital to see if she had a genetic disorder. It seems like ages ago that I held her and wondered if she would wake up the next morning and be our same little girl. If any of the tests proved their theories correct, she would only live until she was two or possibly be elligiable for a bone marrow transplant. Our prayers were answered and nothing ever came of the tests and her heart murmurs dissappeared. We have been faced with many other things such as asthma and allergies, but I could deal with anything after going through that nightmare. Jordyn is a very passionate, stubborn, loving little girl. Of course all that energy has to be controlled and she loves to run and play outside. She is definately a character and I know she has a heart of gold. Happy Birthday Jordyn! We are so lucky to have a healthy and enthusiastic little girl!
